CLARK PLACE ROOFTOP COOLING TOWER & BOILER REPLACEMENT

SCOPE OF WORK: The "Project" of which the "Work" of the Contract is a part titled Clark Place Rooftop
Cooling Tower & Boiler Replacement and is located at 301 E. Clark Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89101. The
"Work" is described in the Project Drawings and Divisions 01 through 26 of the Project Manual.
The Work consists of removal and replacement of rooftop cooling tower, rooftop boiler, associated pumps,
piping, supports, electrical, controls and other work required for successful operation of the system.
Construction includes all administrative work as outlined in the Division 01 General Requirements and the
following using materials noted on Drawings and Specifications: These requirements include but are not
limited to; payment and changes in the work, supervision, project coordination, construction schedule,
temporary facilities and controls, on-site construction management, project completion and closeout. Work
at existing cooling tower consists of preparation of area by demolition of tower, piping, pumps, valves,
supports, emergency eyewash and shower station, and appurtenances for installation of cooling tower,
pump, basin sweeper, support, controls, piping, valves and devices required for successful operation of the
system. Work at existing boiler consists of preparation of area by demolition of boiler, piping, pump, valves,
expansion tank, controls, supports and appurtenances for installation of boiler, pump, expansion tank,
support, controls, piping, valves and devices required for successful operation of the system. Electrical
work includes power distribution and service to all HVAC equipment and controls. Demolition work required
at cooling tower and boiler systems and demolition motor control center inside electrical room and removal
of all unnecessary and abandoned electrical boxes and conduits. Testing, adjusting and balancing of the
hydronic systems. System commissioning per requirements of contract documents. Integration of the new
and existing BACnet control system.
Work hours: The General Contractor will perform construction activities during the following times: Monday
through Thursday from 6:00pm to 4:30am. Friday through Sunday from 6:00am – 4:30pm. Material and
equipment transport to occur during after hours. All dates and times will be outlined in the Project Schedule
as required per Section 01 32 16 – Progress Schedule. Contractor will notify Owner’s Representative when
changes to the submitted working days/hours are deemed necessary. System shutdowns are allowed to
maximum of three. Shutdowns between 6:30 pm on a Thursday until 3:00 am on its next Monday.
Refer to section 01 30 00 Procore Administrative Requirements.
ESTIMATED COST: $1,102,000.00 - $1,160,000.00.
A Pre-bid Conference will be held on JANUARY 10, 2024 at 9:00 A.M. via WebEx. WebEx information for
this conference is listed under the Activities tab on Nevada Government eMarketplace (NGEM) website. If
your firm is unfamiliar with the County Bid Submittal procedures and would like to obtain training on the
submittal process for this Bid, please contact Geraldine Cruz, Purchasing Analyst, at (702) 455-6277 no
later than TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2024, and a training session will be provided immediately following the
pre-bid conference referenced above.
SITE WALK: A site walk has been scheduled on JANUARY 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Meeting place shall
be at 301 East Clark Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.
Bid documents, specifications and drawings will be available on the NGEM System or a thumb drive
(drive) can be picked up at the Clark County Government Center, 500 South Grand Central Parkway,
Purchasing And Contracts Division, 4th Floor, Las Vegas, Nevada 89106 on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3,
2024. The drive will be provided at no charge. If the drive is to be mailed, there is an additional non-
refundable charge of $5.00. All checks are to be made payable to Clark County Department of
Finance – Purchasing and Contracts Division. Hearing impaired customers may obtain information by

Bids will be accepted electronically on the NGEM website at www.ngemnv.com or manually at the Clark
County Government Center, 500 South Grand Central Parkway, Purchasing and Contracts Division, Fourth
Floor, Las Vegas, Nevada 89106, on or before FEBRUARY 1, 2024 at 2:15:00 p.m., based on the time
clock at the Clark County Purchasing and Contracts front desk, and will be opened immediately thereafter.
