PROJECT TITLE:  Clarion University – Deferred Maintenance Repairs
PROJECT LOCATION:  840 Wood Street, Clarion, PA 16214
This Project is advertising for PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS for design and/or engineering services.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The project scope of work includes, but is not limited to, a study, followed by upgrades to critical infrastructure and deferred maintenance projects across the university. The systems include, underground steam lines and tunnels, electrical service gear, HVAC systems at 5 campus buildings, and water tower and water system repairs.  In addition to the system repair/replacement there is a roof replacement project, sidewalk replacement, athletic fields with drainage and grade issues, and repairs required to an interior staircase.  Priority must be given to increasing each system's functionality, efficiency, and reliability for the long term. Following the conclusion of the study, the Department intends to continue directly into the design phase of improvement project(s). The Department may retain the same professional who will perform this study. Subsequent improvement project(s) will include Small Diverse Business (SDB) & Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation requirements & will be established by the Department following the study conclusion. The Professional is encouraged to retain SDB/VBE consultants who can continue into the design phase.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $7,760,000.00

The Department of General Services Capital Programs and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants must agree to meet all SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals.
