Bid Synopsis: The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for CWN (Call when needed) SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) and Water Scooper aircraft for statewide wild land fire suppression. The State, as represented by the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, Bureau of Forest Protection, intends to use the results of this solicitation to award a contract for SEAT aircraft for the suppression of wild land forest fires in accordance with the attached. Parts A & B of the bid price sheet will be for SEAT Aircraft and parts C & D of the bid price sheet will be for Water Scooper (Fireboss) Aircraft. Parts A & B will be awarded to one contractor and parts C & D will be awarded separately to one contractor. Bidders may bid on parts A & B or Parts C & D separately or they may bid on both. Typically the Department hires three aircraft per year to assist with wild land fire suppression however the Department may hire more or less than this amount.
