REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Proposals for Akutan Generator System Upgrade Design-Build, Program Number AIP 3-02-0005-009-2024 / SFAPT00539, will be received before 4:00 p.m., April 10, 2024 at the office of the Chief of Contracts, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.
This federally funded contract requires the Contractor to provide the necessary design and construction services, as required, to replace the failing generators at the Akutan Airport Snow Removal Equipment Building (SREB).
The Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Project substantial completion date will be April 30, 2025.
No site visit is scheduled. If desired, contract the Project Manager, Levi Overbeck, at levi.overbeck@alaska.gov a minimum of 7 days prior to the intended date to coordinate visitation. Bring a safety vest and hearing protection. Visitors will meet at the Akutan Airport Snow Removal Equipment Building to be escorted through the work areas.
Proposal documents and Addenda along with other additional information pertaining to the project may now be downloaded in their entirety at no charge from the Department’s approved online bidding service: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings . From the DOT&PF website: http://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-bids.cfm?rc=CR your company must self-register by clicking on the Plan Holders link, or register with the Central Region Plans Room, or your bid may not be accepted.
Proposal documents may also be purchased for $50.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m. (907) 269-0408.
