17 CLOSING DATE FOR BIDS: September 2, 2020 2:00 PM
18 The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is
19 advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project.
21 NOTICE: All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on
22 state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. All bids received from contractors
23 who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. Contractor
24 certification applications and instructions for completing the form may be obtained from the DOA
25 Website. DFD Contractor Certification page:

29 Bids must be received at State of Wisconsin Administration Building, 101 East Wilson Street, 7th
30 Floor Reception Desk, Madison, Wisconsin 53703, on or before the closing date and time
31 indicated above.
33 In general, the work consists of: Installation of an outdoor heat recovery type air handling
34 unit system to replace furnaces. Air conditioning will be provided by air cooled
35 condensing unit.
37 Construction bidding documents (drawings, specifications and addenda) may be obtained only
38 as downloadable electronic files (in PDF format) from the Division of Facilities Development
39 website. Construction bidding documents may also be available at various Builders’ Exchanges.
40 Additional project construction bidding information, including plan holders list, is available on the
41 DFD website. Please note that a WisBuild login and password are required to download bidding
42 documents. Interested parties may request a WisBuild login and password at the DFD website
43 – allow 2 days to process login and password requests.
45 The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin’s
46 prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements
47 on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects
48 advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal
49 Davis Bacon Act requirements.
