The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is seeking quotes for lab pack field services to remove radioactive and mixed wastes from a facility located at 1301 Knotts Street in Springfield, Illinois. The vendor shall be an IEMA registered low level radioactive waste broker. Waste inventory is attached on accompanying spreadsheets. Vendor will review inventory and classify waste in accordance with any Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or specific disposal facility guidelines. Vendor will then create a plan to segregate waste into compatible groups and draft inventory sheets for packaging. Inventory sheets will include the proper DOT shipping name, EPA hazard class and waste codes, and any other information which is required for the transportation and disposal of waste. Vendor will then supply properly qualified staff to package, label, and manifest packaging in full compliance with state and federal regulations. Copies of manifests and accompanying forms will be supplied to an authorized employee of the agency. Once all waste has been packaged, vendor's personnel will then load waste onto a fully permitted and licensed hazardous waste vehicle for transportation to disposal facility. Upon completion, the vendor will supply IEMA with certificates of disposal. Completion date of all service shall be completed not later than June 28, 2024. All billable services shall be invoiced to the agency no later than July 15, 2024.
