Summary:Gordonsville, VA is soliciting bids for demolition and construction for its park redevelopment project, including the removal of an existing pool and construction of a new pool. This is a federally-funded project using DCR Land and Water Conservation funds. Buy America requirements must be met by the Contractor. The Contractor must conduct
affirmative actions to encourage DBE participation per 2 Code of Federal Regulations § 200.321.
The project consists of renovating an outdated, non-code compliant, and obsolete community park
and community pool on approximately 4 acres. Install new 5500 square foot pool with 25-meter
swim lanes and shallow entry area, and 15,000 square foot deck area and 1500 square foot bath
house. Install perimeter parallel and pull in parking to support pool use and access. Grade site and
install drainage and stormwater quality infrastructure in improved areas. Pre-bid meeting to be held at 112 S. Main Street, Gordonsville, VA 22942 on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11 a.m.
