Notes:
Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from
qualified contractors to provide bids to rent or buy: a fairway mower to be used at the
Veenker Memorial Golf Course. ISU is looking at the best program that will meet
their business needs.
Contractors should read all materials carefully and note the due date.
Contractors must direct all questions and comments in reference to this RFP/RFQ to
the University Representative listed.

Provide information regarding the maintenance program offered in conjunction with the mower rental option. Include
what is covered under this program, the amount of time needed for pickup of carts needing repair, loaner availability,
cost (if any), and any other information which could be used to evaluate this program as part of this bid.

1 Evaluation Criteria
The Evaluation Criteria utilized for this Request for Proposal will be based upon, but not limited to, the following
criteria which are listed in no particular order. ISU reserves the right to select the unit that best serves the intended
purpose of the University:
Total Cost to ISU (ISU is requesting pricing for options to buy new equipment and rent the equipment for a 4
year period.)
→ Option 1: Cost of new mower without trade.
→ Option 2: Cost of new mower less a trade-in value. (Note: it is not required to bid the trade-in values to
bid. A Vendor may also bid on a specific trade-in machine or all.)
Ability to meet specifications. (Please provide detailed specifications sheet of the machine that you are
bidding. This literature should address all the requirements and preferences listed.)
Ability of mower to function at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in the opinion of ISU. ISU may request a
demonstration of the model at no cost to ISU in order to determine if unit can perform functions in a
reasonable and effective manner.
