Tubular Reactor System W/ Upgrade 970 mL gas Liquid Separator to 1900 mL from Parr Instruments

GAS FEED:
One reactant gas feed line with normally-closed automated pneumatic shut-off valve, filter, Mass Flow Controller (MFC), and reverse-flow check valve. Unless otherwise specified, the MFC is calibrated for 20-1000 sccm hydrogen at 1100 psi (76 bar) MFC inlet pressure and 900 psi (62 bar) outlet pressure. The maximum inlet pressure for each MFC is [Enter Pressure]. A purge line is included with automated normally-open shutoff valve, filter, metering valve, and reverse-flow check valve.
LIQUID FEED:
Two liquid feed modules are included. The first is a T316SS metering pump that can deliver 0.0-36.000 mL/min at pressures up to 6000 psi (414 bar) for use with liquids having a viscosity less than 100 cP (0-82 °C, may require calibration check above 11 cP). The second is a T316SS metering pump that can deliver 0.000-5.000 mL/min at pressures up to 6000 psi (414 bar) with fluids having viscosity less than 100cP. Pumps are supplied with a filtered inlet line and a downstream reverse-flow check valve.
REACTOR MODULE:
One 5423 T316SS Tubular Reactor Assembly, rated 5000 psi (345 bar) at 550 °C with internal 0.25-inch (6 mm) OD T316SS removable thermowell and 0.090 (2 mm) OD moveable 3-point Type K thermocouple. The reactor assembly includes a 33-inch (83 cm) long reactor tube with a 24-inch (60 cm) heated length and 0.987-inch (24.7 mm) internal diameter and split-ring head closures with flexible graphite gaskets at each end. Module also includes a 2900 psi (200 bar) Alloy 600 safety rupture disc. Reactor is heated in three equal zones of 8-inch each (282 cm3 total heated internal volume in annulus around thermowell) by a Split Tube 3-zone furnace (230 VAC) with external control thermocouple on the outer reactor wall at the center of the length of each heated zone. Catalyst is held in place with user-supplied quartz wool or other suitable support. Also included with this reactor is a solids loading toolkit to facilitate loading of catalyst in reactor annulus and easily measure the location and length of the bulk solids packing.
PRODUCT RECOVERY AND SAMPLING:
Gases and vapors exiting the reactor pass through a T316SS cooling condenser and into a 970 mL T316SS high pressure Gas-Liquid Separator (GLS) rated to 3000 psi (200 bar) at up to 350°C with manual drain valve. A gas-only manual T316SS back pressure regulator (rated 200 °C) is used to manually maintain reactor system pressures of 2900 psi (200 bar).
CONTROL and DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM:
The 4880 touchscreen controller allows control, monitoring, and logging of all three heated zone temperatures, gas flow rates, and monitoring and logging of pressure data. User-adjustable high temperature and pressure alarms are tied to safety interlocks which automatically shut down the furnace, stop reactant flows, and optionally flush the reactor with inert gas. System requires 230 VAC.

Department is already using two other Parr Equipment high pressure reactors and this will system compliment the current research on the existing units.
