The Work of this Contract generally consists of the relocation of an existing culvert currently routed through the properties of 681 and 687 Main Street in Melrose, MA. The existing field stone culvert will be rerouted and reconstructed with a proposed precast concrete structure along Main Street. The work shall include furnishing and installing the proposed precast culvert structure; furnishing and installing new drain manholes, catch basis and drainage infrastructure; abandoning, removal, and disposal of existing drainage infrastructure; full depth roadway reconstruction; reconstruction of existing sidewalks with vertical granite curb, cement concrete and hot mix asphalt walking surface; pavement micro-milling and resurfacing; installation of proposed pavement markings; and installation and maintenance of temporary traffic control measures.
