The scope of work suggests that the school district wants 5
cameras. 3 in the interior for the student department and 1each on
the driver and door. Can you verify that the total amount of cameras
is 5?
Placement will be 3 observing the students, one to view the driver
and the final camera facing forward out the front windshield.
Does the district want a Windshield camera to have a road view
recording for areas of liabilities with other motorist and recording
students walking across roadways?
Yes.
Is there any current or future demand for wireless?
Possibly in the future.
What other technologies reside on Lexington SD1 buses (example:
GPS Systems, On-Board Student Wifi, two-way radios)?
Two way radios and GPS tracking and vehicle monitoring called
Can Lexington SD1 provide details on the requirements of the
removal of existing systems. Where is the DVR and cameras
located in the bus?
Current camera system will need to be completely removed by the
awarded contractor. Not all DVRs are located in the same location,
however, all are located in the driver’s area of the bus.
Can installers cut camera cables or will cables have to be fished out
in removal to keep intact?
The only requirement is removal of the cables and old equipment
must be done without damaging any part of the bus.

With the potential award date on May 16th, does this potentially
require installation during summer months? If so, is access to buses
for installation easier during that time period?

Access to the buses will be granted during the summer months
Monday through Thursday. All work must be completed by Aug 30,
2024.
Document says 1-year term with 1-year renewal on Pg. 3, but says
5-year project under Scope of Work on Pg. 27. Are to bid a 1-year
agreement or 5-year agreement?

Regarding potential data migration on Pg. 13, how much data would
be required to be migrated to a new system?
There will be no data migration from the old system to the new
system.
For the required cameras on Pg. 28, is the driver and instrument
panel camera the forward-facing camera on Tab 1 of the pricing
table?
No. There will be a separate camera that views the driver and
instrument panel mounted somewhere above the driver. A separate
forward facing camera mounted near the front windshield facing out
over the hood.

Regarding the cellular data listed on Tab 2 of the pricing table, is the
vendor expected to provide a data plan or does the school already
have a data plan through a provider it intends to utilize? If a vendor
needs to provide data, how much data is required per month?
We will use our own data plan. The vendor is NOT expected to
provide a data plan.
For the data management and video storage, does the school have
on-site or existing long-term video storage servers it intends to utilize,
or should the vendor provide a cloud-based video storage platform?
Vendor should provide a cloud based storage platform.

We are not tax exempt. Taxes are not to be included in the cost.

pricing table mentions an IP camera harness. Can you clarify if an IP
camera is required?

below states the contract lasts from 2024 to 2029. Please confirm
the life of the contract.

On page 26 the link for the Price Proposal is not working, please
provide a copy of the spreadsheet.
Page 28 of the RFP states where cameras should be located. On the
smaller buses is it acceptable to install fewer cameras that will
provide 100% coverage of the bus?
It is acceptable.
Regarding the dash camera, is Lexington One looking for a camera
that sticks on the windshield, or would you prefer to use a pedestal
mount?
Pedestal mount.
Would Lexington One prefer to be able to view the vehicle
diagnostics (track turn signals, brakes, doors, lifts- just to name a
few) within the provided software?
