The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for W-beam repair on
380 northbound at MM 18.75, Right side of road.
Site visits are recommended.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor
whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other
factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or
exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time
schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past
work performance, and work capacity.
One Purchase Order will be issued for this bid and line items will be tied.

connects to the bridge that carries 16th Ave.
Site visit recommended.

2 This work needs to be done at night. Time to start work needs to be after 7:00 PM.
The contractor needs to be responsible for their own traffic control. The contractor will have to close this ramp
from Wilson Ave northbound as well as right lane on mainline to repair said guardrail. They will be responsible for
detour and to let proper emergency agencies of said closure.
Vendor must use new material and must dispose of all old material. Is responsible for equipment and
mobilization. If any grade work is needed the vendor needs to do this as well.
Vendor must be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor and be listed on the State's list of traffic Control
Technicians. Vendor to provide certificate of insurance per attached specifications and list the Iowa DOT as
additionally insured.
