Sealed unit price bids will be received by the City of Fayetteville, Georgia from prospective contractors for the City of Fayetteville, Georgia’s “TRAVIS ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS” project. The work consists of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and related services required for a complete project. This project includes but is not limited to traffic control, grading, demolition of existing sidewalk/curb and gutter/pavement, installation of new curb and gutter, sidewalks, pavers, stormwater drainage structures and pipes, pavement, lighting, various amenities and landscape in accordance with the Contract Documents for the City of Fayetteville’s “TRAVIS ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS” project. Bidders must possess and mark the outside of sealed bids with a current Georgia Contractors License Number.

The City of Fayetteville hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.

Copies of the Contract Drawings, Documents and Technical Specifications may be obtained by request. Digital copies, in PDF format, may be obtained from the City of Fayetteville by contacting the Assistant Director of Finance and Administration, Carleetha Talmadge at ctalmadge@fayetteville-ga.gov at a cost of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per copy. Hard copies may be obtained from the Engineers Office by contacting Glenn Athearn at gathearn@fdcllc.com at a cost of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per copy. Bidders are to reference the City of Fayetteville’s “TRAVIS ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS” project when requesting copies.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, August 24th 2023 at 10:00 AM local time at the Fayetteville City Hall, 210 Stonewall Ave. West; Fayetteville, GA 30214. Attendance of this meeting is “Strongly Encouraged”. All questions pertaining to the requirements of the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications, either procedural or technical, shall be in writing and are to be submitted to the Engineer; Attention: Adam Price via email at aprice@fdcllc.com and Glenn Athearn via email at gathearn@fdc-llc.com by 12:00 PM local time on Thursday, August 31st 2023 Reference: “TRAVIS ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.” Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Fayetteville at City Hall, 210 Stonewall Ave. West; Fayetteville, GA 30214 until 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, September 7th 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City or a cashier’s check made payable to the City of Fayetteville, Georgia. The entire Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Fayetteville, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
