Sealed proposals for performing the work herein described will be received by the Village Board of Irvington, New York, at the Office of the Village Clerk, Village Hall, 85 Main Street, Irvington, New York 10533, until April 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Court Room in Village Hall at 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY.
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install approximately 1,150 feet of five-foot concrete and HDPE pipe along Harriman Road and U.S. Route 9 in the Village of Irvington. The work shall also include other drainage and utilities relocations, drainage structures, stone walls, sidewalks, and landscaping. Contract Documents may be obtained at the above office of the Village Administrator or from the Village web at

, and provided with contact information. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the site on March 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
The project will be partially funded through a New York State Department of Conservation grant, and therefore is subject to Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) and Minority, Women Owned Business (MWBE), and all other applicable requirements. Details are attached in Appendix A of the Specifications.
Bids shall be made on the Proposal Forms furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Irvington, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Irvington as liquidated damages.
Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Village of Irvington, The Village Hall, 85 Main Street, Irvington, New York and endorsed “Proposed Harriman Road / U.S. Route 9 Culvert”.
The Village of Irvington reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
