Derby Police Firing Range
Concrete Pad Construction

The City of Derby Public Works – Facilities Division is requesting bids to install concrete pad and associated materials at the Derby Police Firing Range. Sealed bids are being accepted by the City of Derby, Kansas 67037 until 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 29, 2023 and then at said office will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The firing range is physically located at the Wastewater Treatment Facility 1501 S. K-15. The area is accessible by appointment by contacting 788-0301.
Minimum Specifications:

Pad one is approximately 75’x 91’

Pad two is approximately 75’x 6’

Pad three is approximately 75’x 6’

Concrete will be 4” in depth with fiber mesh reinforcement.

Contractor is responsible for protecting concrete during construction

Rock excavation to be stored onsite
-
Backfill with existing excavated material
-
Sawed control joints not to exceed 12x12 squares
-
All cold joints to be doweled every 2 ft with ½ x 18-inch rebar

Concrete to be 6.6 - 4000 lb. rock mix with light broom finish

Subgrade to be compacted with roller
-
Concrete to drain 1/8” per foot slope
The bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the City Clerk of the City of Derby, Kansas. Each sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope as “Concrete Pad Construction” and sent to the City Clerk, 611 N Mulberry, Derby, KS 67037.
Bids must be good for a period of ninety (90) days.
The City of Derby with or without cause may reject any or all bids.
