Description: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
CITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOIS
Sealed proposals for the Pump Station Electrical Replacement project, in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 AM, April 3, 2024 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber of the Quincy City Hall.
The project includes constructing a 3,000 amp/480VAC/three-phase service; furnishing and installing electrical switchgear, motor controls, and appurtenances; tying new electrical systems into existing low and medium voltage equipment; and related construction items.
Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of the Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301.
All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.
The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
This contract contains the requirement that 50 percent of the workers on this project must be residents of Adams County, Illinois.
