ADDENDUM #1
TO
REQUEST FOR BID
Roof Replacement on Salt Shed
In reference to the Town of Merrimack’s request to replace the roof of the Salt Shed
Building at the Highway Maintenance Complex, Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00PM, please
be advised that the following questions have been answered:
1. Can we stop by before the due date of the bid opening to take
another look at the roof?
We ask that you please stop by the front office at the Highway Department
to check in before going in the back to take a look at the roof.
2. What working hours are allowed for this project?
Hours are Monday Friday from 7AM 5PM. If you would like to work
on Saturday, please let Lori Halverson, the Operation Manager, know so
she can make sure that someone is there to unlock the gate to the back
yard.
3. Do the polycarbonate panels need to be replaced?
No, they do not need to be replaced. A replacement cost can be included in
the exceptions area of the bid form, in case a panel is damaged during roof
replacement.
4. Will there be an area where we can drop off materials?
Highway will clear an area for all materials to be dropped off.
5. If one of the Fascia boards are rotted, do you want them
replaced? Please provide the linear foot price on your bid form in case
we need to replace a rotted fascia board.
Please contact me at kvalluzzi@merrimacknh.gov or (603) 424-7075 if you have any
questions pertaining to this addendum or other portions of our bid request.
