The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed RFP’s until 2:00 PM on
4-25-2024 for RFP#FD24-001, Epoxy Flake Flooring System Stations 2-5.
Project Scope: Whitfield County is looking for qualified vendors to complete an Epoxy Flake Floor system
at Four Fire Stations. Whitfield County will be responsible for the removal of all Furniture, existing
flooring and cove base. Approx. 1000 Sq. Ft. per station.
PROPSED SCOPE OF WORK:

Laminin Industrial Coatings Flooring System with Laminin ¼” Broadcast Flakes
Process:
1. Profile entire floor by grinding with 30 grit impregnated diamonds
2. After Grinding, Prime Floor with Laminin Colossal 117 – EPS
3. Once Dry, trowel apply Laminin Colossal – 117 USL and Broadcast ¼ inch
flake
4. Once Cured, Scrape and Vacuum excess flakes and Apply Laminin Top Coat
5. Replace existing Cove Base with new vinyl cove base molding

Industrial Coatings Flooring System Laminin Industrial Coatings Specification for the
successful installation of resinous flooring system. System consists of multi-layer epoxy
products to create a moisture proof, abrasion, and chemical resistant surface to suit the
needs of the most demanding industries.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Colossal 117-USL Urethane Self Leveler is a two-
component urethane leveling compound capable of creating a moisture barrier of up to
100% RH with Colossal 117-EPS Epoxy Primer and Sealer. It provides Sound
Transmission Control and Insulation Impact Classification and can be adhered to in just
under 4 hours. Product must be applied at a minimum of 1/32" but can be applied up to
1/2". Colossal 117-USL is extremely durable and may be used in conjunction with other
Laminin Industries products such as the Laminin Industrial Coating System.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Colossal 117 ITC Industrial Top Coat is a unique,
two-component, 100% solid urethane topcoat for professional flooring installations over
resinous flooring systems requiring industrial grade coating to protect against wear,
chemicals and damage. Colossal 117 ITC can be mixed and modified with color tints or
applied clear. Col 117 ITC can also be mixed with texturing compounds for increased
slip resistance. Once completely cured, Col 117 ITC can be safely cleaned by a number
of methods including high pressure, ammonia, bleach, solvents, and steam cleaning.
Col 117 ITC is UV stable and does not chalk or amber due to sunlight.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Colossal 117-EPS Primer and Sealer is a two-
component, hybrid epoxy, resin-based primer for sub-floor preparation prior to
installation or urethane-based leveling compounds. Unlike water or urethane-based
primers, Colossal 117-EPS is not affected by elevated sub floor moisture. It will not
foam up or get weaker because of water present in the sub floor. It also has a higher
penetration of the concrete compared to traditional 100% solid epoxy, which creates a
stronger bond. It does NOT however create a moisture barrier, but merely reduces the
amount of vapor penetration. Colossal 117-EPS spreads easily and creates a dust free
surface ready for safe installation of flooring. It increases the bonding of subsequently
applied primers, leveling compounds, and/or adhesives.

Vendor.
Vendors may use a different brand flooring system as long as product
meets LAMININ Floor systems specs.
