Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work:
Contractor shall renovate Rooms 1216 and 1226 on the 1st Floor of Knudsen Hall to a Quantum Physics Research Lab capable of accommodating a new researcher’s immediate research needs. The project would create a measurement and mechanical room to support the lab. Programmatic goals will emphasize the requirements of the utility infrastructure, and the laboratory workflow and circulation for quantum physics experiments and functions. Contractor shall upgrade the buildings mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and the fire life safety work. The power and process chilled water requirements are significant to the project. The University has performed a general demolition of the project area, and the space is ready for new construction.
