Project Description Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work:

Contractor shall furnish and install a complete new building-wide fire alarm system to replace the existing UCLA Royce Hall Grinnell/Autocall TFX system. Contractor shall furnish and install a new Notifier 3030, Simplex 4100ES, Siemens XLS, or equal fire alarm system. System shall include: (2) complete sets of University-approved building fire alarm drawings, (drawings approved by UCLA Campus Official, Campus Fire Marshal and Facilities Management Electrical Systems); (2) complete sets of as-built drawings, head end equipment, graphic annunciator, smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors beam detectors, monitoring modules and manual pull station. All new fire alarm equipment shall meet current NFPA 72 standards and be currently listed by the California Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Building Material Listing (BML). Relocate all non-readily accessible devices above stairwells, auditoriums and stage areas to a University's Representative approved accessible location. The audible and strobes may remain in place, with end of line resistors to be changed out as necessary. Contractor shall provide all pretesting, inspection fees, permit fees and scheduling of inspections with University's Representative.
