The Springdale Water and Sewer Commission will receive sealed bids for the BENTON FARM LIFT STATION AND FORCE MAIN IMPROVEMENTS until 10:00 AM Local Time on January 9, 2024 at the Commission office, 526 Oak Avenue, Springdale, AR. 72764. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend.
The project consists of approximately 11,000 linear feet of parallel 24-inch force main with bored crossings at I-49 and 40th Street, and installation of two new 185 hp pumps with VFDs and related electrical controls improvements at the lift station.
Bids shall be on a unit price basis.

Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online MCE Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the MCE online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List and submit a bid. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in the Proposal to verify receipt.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Springdale Water and Sewer Commission in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM Local Time on December 19, 2023 at the Commission office, 526 Oak Avenue, Springdale, AR 72764. A non-mandatory site visit to the Benton Farm Lift Station will follow the pre-bid meeting.

The attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract.
Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203 The Springdale Water Utilities encourages all qualified small, minority and women business enterprises to bid on and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. Also, The Springdale Water Utilities encourages all general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises.
The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
