Sealed bids for HAR-BER AVENUE EXTENSION 48th Street to 40th Street to be constructed for the City of Springdale, Arkansas will be received online in the QuestCDN online bid interface until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud via Zoom meeting. Zoom meeting information will be posted to the QuestCDN online bid interface under Project Q&A and the City website.
This project includes the construction of Har-ber Avenue from 48th Street east to 40th Street and the widening of 40th Street, including an overpass over Interstate 49 in Springdale, Arkansas. Contract items include concrete sidewalk, asphalt pavement, a 467-ft continuous composite plate girder bridge, modification/widening of an existing precast panel bridge structure, MSE and modular block walls, relocation of 12” water and 8” sanitary sewer lines, curb and gutter, traffic signal, street lighting, drainage improvements, and other miscellaneous items.
An Optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 14, 2023, via online Zoom meeting. Zoom meeting information will be posted to the QuestCDN online bid interface under Project Q&A and the City website.
The bid documents may be examined at the office of Garver at 2049 E. Joyce Blvd., Ste. 400, Fayetteville, AR 72703. Digital copies of the bid documents are available at www.GarverUSA.com for a fee of $42. These documents may be downloaded by selecting this project from the “Plan Room” link, and by entering eBidDocTM Number 8785268 on the “Browse Projects” page. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. For this project, bids will only be accepted through the QuestCDN online electronic bid interface. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents, refresh the project’s page on the online plan room, and then click the “on-line bid” button below the project name.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
The City of Springdale reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of any Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date.
