ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the construction of the Lowell Sanitary Sewer Capacity Improvements will be received by the City of Lowell, Arkansas, 216 N. Lincoln, Lowell, AR, until 2:30 p.m. (local time), September 14, 2023, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The major items of work include:
Approximately 1470 LF of pipe bursting 8” gravity sewer to 12”, 400’ of pipe bursting 15” gravity sewer to 20”, 2157 LF of 12” sanitary sewer construction, and other miscellaneous construction. All construction shall be complete within 365 days from Notice to Proceed.
Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QUESTCDN). This can be done via a link on the ESI Planroom at http://engineeringservices.com/.There is a $40 nonrefundable cost for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Hard copies are available by calling ESI ($300). Bids from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents are subject to rejection.
A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2:00 pm, August 30, 2023, at City of Lowell, Arkansas, 216 N. Lincoln, Lowell, AR.
Each bidder must deposit bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
