SOUTH CLAREMONT AVENUE SEWER EXTENSION
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The City of Sherwood will receive bids for the South Claremont Avenue Sewer Extension until 10:00 A.M. Central Standard time on the 2nd of April, 2024, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the following location: Bill Harmon Recreation Center, 51 Shelby Road, Sherwood, AR 72120.
Bids may be mailed, or hand delivered to the address listed below:

The major improvements for the project will consist of the following: clearing & grubbing, sanitary sewer utility installation, stormwater pollution prevention, traffic control, seeding, and site restoration.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Sherwood, Arkansas, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of bid shall be submitted with each bid.
The successful bidder must be in compliance with the requirements of Act 150 of 1965, effective June 9, 1965, subject to any subsequent amendments, which is the current Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors to execute a construction contract with the City of Sherwood.
The City of Sherwood hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
The City of Sherwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Sherwood for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days following opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract.
