PROJECT: Rosehill Cemetery Landscaping and Maintenance 2024
1. Scope of the Project. The Project consists of approximately 12 acres more or less of landscaping, mowing, and maintenance in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
2. Documents: Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents from Arkadelphia Town Hall – City Clerk’s Office, 700 Clay St., Arkadelphia, AR.
3. Preparation of Bids: Bids will be accepted only for the entire Work. Partial bids will not be accepted. Bids shall be made on Bid Form furnished in this manual. Failure to submit a proposal in the form requested or the inclusion of any conditions, alternate, limitation, or provision not called for will render the bid irregular and shall be considered cause for rejection. Submit three signed copies. Where Bidder is a corporation, bids shall be signed with the legal name of the corporation followed by the name of the State of Incorporation and the legal signature of an officer authorized to bind the corporation of a Contract.
4. Experience: Bidder must have at least 5 years of landscape work experience and be able to provide references upon request.
5. Pre-Bid Conference: No Pre-Bid Conference will be held for this Project.
6. Bidder Questions: All questions from Bidders will be submitted to the City of Arkadelphia in writing via fax or email (fax – 1-870-246-1813, e-mail Kenny.myers@arkadelphia.gov ) by end of business on
March 22, 2024 .
7. Bid Date: Sealed bids will be received in the offices of the City Clerk at Arkadelphia Town Hall until 12:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024. No extension of the bidding period will be made, except by Addendum. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities in a Bid received and to accept a Bid, which, in the Owner’s judgment, is in the Owner’s best interest. Bid tabulations will not be furnished to Bidders. Bidders will be notified of successful bidder within 4 weeks of the Bid.
8. Execution of Contract: Contract, if awarded, shall be on a square yard basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of twenty-eight (28) days after the date of opening. Be prepared, upon written notice of Bid Acceptance, to commence work.
9. The Sponsor hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to the applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, and wage rate laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
