Repaint Elevated Water Tank Project
ACEDP Grant # 790-09165-16
Sealed bids from licensed contractors for construction of Repaint Elevated Water Tank in Emmet, Nevada County, Arkansas, will be received by Honorable Dale Booker, Mayor at City of Emmet, City Hall, 211 E. 4th St, Emmet, AR 71835 until 2:00 PM CST, Tuesday, August 8th and then at City Hall publicly opened and read aloud.
The scope of work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and all activities required for the repainting of the existing 50,000-gallon elevated water storage tank including surface preparation, blasting, lead abatement, painting, and miscellaneous repairs and welding. Instructions to Bidders, ACEDP grant requirements, Bid and Contract Forms, Plans, Specifications, and other contract documents may be examined and obtained ($50.00 cost per hard copy set obtained, no deposit will be refunded; no charge for electronic sets) at Spears Engineering Company, 3605 Jefferson Avenue, Texarkana, AR 71854. Neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than directly from the Engineer.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within 30 days after the date of bid opening and must provide bid bonds as required. All bidding processes shall be in accordance with State law.
Contractors shall refer to the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors. Resident Bidders refer to Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature. Non-Resident bidders refer to Act 162 of the 1987 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature.
Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. ยง22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups.
