ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for Street, Storm Drainage, and Water Improvements for the Kendrick Avenue Widening will be received by the City of Springdale, Arkansas, in the Public Meeting Room at the City Administration Building, 201 Spring Street, Springdale, Arkansas 72764, until 2:30 p.m. (local time), October 17, 2023, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The major items of work include:
Approximately 2,500 LF of street improvements, 3,600 LF of storm drainage improvements, 3,900 SY of sidewalk/trail construction, lighting, landscaping, and other miscellaneous items associated with street construction. Also including approximately 1,400 LF of 8” & 12” water main construction, the relocation of cathodic protection on an existing 36” water main, and other miscellaneous construction. All construction shall be substantially complete within 365 days from Notice to Proceed.
Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QUESTCDN). This can be done via a link on the ESI Planroom at http://engineeringservices.com/ or on the QUESTCDN website ( www.questcdn.com . There is a $40 nonrefundable cost for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QUESTCDN. Hard copies are available by calling ESI ($300). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program.
