Description:
The Town of Greenburgh, through the Department of Community Development and Conservation, seeks proposals from Professional Engineering Consultants with demonstrated experience to act as its subcontractor and complete established tasks associated with flood mitigation designs that will address significant flooding that has occurred with the Hartsdale Brook in the Town.
Flooding associated with the Hartsdale Brook has caused significant damages to both residential and non-residential properties in the vicinity of East Hartsdale Avenue in the Town of Greenburgh. The Town has identified a 100-year flood design that it seeks to advance through a scope of work as defined herein. The Town is the recipient of a FEMA grant (FEMA Project Number 4480-0036) that is being administered by the New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES Contract Number C000982).
The technical analysis sought by the Town of Greenburgh will focus on the completion of 12 Tasks which will build from concept designs to perform a feasibility study that will culminate in a final report with recommendations and cost estimates. Work will include environmental assessments, surveys and various assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, permitting analysis, stakeholder coordination, alternatives analysis and final feasibility' study report. The final report will aid m developing applications, benefit costs analyses, and basis of design for the proposed future mitigation design work and construction.
