Description:

The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Replace Mechanical Systems – Health Center project at the State University of New York at New Paltz.

The Student Health & Counseling Center, built in 1966, is a slab on grade, single story, masonry building approximately 14,000 SF comprised of two main suites – Health Center and Counseling Center.

This project is to replace the dual fuel oil/natural gas-fired hot water boiler with a Ground Source Heat Pump system (or air source heat pump) and a new gas fired boiler as backup for the heat pump system. Remove and replace two existing DX air handling units and associated air-cooled condensers, underground refrigerant piping, and controls. Remove and replace building wide ductwork distribution system and replace all fin tube radiation. Assume a 30% comprehensive interior renovation of the building. Surge space will be required for this project. A Hazardous materials survey will be required to determine if hazardous materials exist in this building.

The construction value is estimated at approximately $6,300,000.

SOQs must be submitted in the format prescribed by the Fund using the link provided in the email received after registration that supplies the RFQ. Required electronic copies of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) must be received by the due date and time specified in the RFQ.
