Notice is hereby given that Onondaga County Water Authority, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, shall receive sealed bids for the following waterworks improvements:
Two 300,000 Gallon Steel Single-Pedestal Spheroid Elevated Tanks in Volney, New York: The complete cleaning and repainting of the interior wet surfaces, the complete cleaning and repainting of the interior dry surfaces, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. Additional Work items include: repair of concrete and grout; modification of platform manholes; furnishing and installing insulation and heat traces for the inlet/outlet pipe, overflow air break with elastomeric check valve, ladders, safe-climbing devices, roof safety railing toe bar, and clog-resistant roof vent; removal of cathodic protection system; and including other miscellaneous repairs. This work shall be included in the Base Bid.
The Bidders attention is directed to the Detailed Technical Specifications for a complete description of the Work and the Project. Each tank shall be drained during all cleaning, application, and curing of the coating.
Completed Bids should be mailed or delivered in person and received on or before the time and date set forth hereafter to the Onondaga County Water Authority, mailing address: Post Office Box 4949, Syracuse, New York, 13221-4949, and overnight mail address: 200 Northern Concourse, North Syracuse, New York 13212, Attention: Janice Hartwell, Bid Reference Number A-2024, telephone number (315) 455-7061 extension 3121. Bids will be received by Onondaga County Water Authority until the 9th day of January, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., local time. Any bid received later than the above time will be returned unopened.
