Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Undersigned, on behalf of the Essex County Board of Supervisors, will accept sealed bids at the Office of the Purchasing Agent until 2:00PM on July 10, 2023, for the Essex County Farm Worker Housing Rehabilitation Project.

All interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend one of two pre-bid meetings held at 9:00 am on Monday, June 12, 2023 and Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Juniper Hill Farm, 82 Loukes Lane, Wadhams, New York 12993.

The bids shall be opened publicly and read aloud on July 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM. at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 7551 Court Street, Elizabethtown, New York 12932.

This project is being financed with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) Community Development Block Grant-Cares Act (“CDBG-CV”) funds administered by the NYS Office of Community Renewal (OCR), project #382CVHR100-22. See Instructions to Bidders for additional information.

It is the policy of CDBG to encourage the greatest possible participation of minorities, women-owned, and Section 3 business enterprises, and individuals in CDBG funded projects. The Contractor, by bidding on the contract acknowledges his/her understanding and support for this policy and pledges to fully cooperate with Essex County in meeting the requirements as set forth in the Bidding and Contracting documents.

Bids are available at: http://www.co.essex.ny.us/wp/bid and on the NYS Contract Reporter. Bids may be mailed or delivered to Essex County Purchasing, PO Box 217, 7551 Court Street, Elizabethtown, New York 12932.

All bids submitted in response to this notice shall be marked "SEALED BID – FARM WORKER HOUSING REHABILITATION" clearly on the outside of the envelope with the bidder’s name and address.

Please contact the Purchasing Office at (518) 873-3330 for additional information concerning the bidding. Project Documents are available in the form of a PDF may be obtained at the above address.

In the event that the Essex County Purchasing Office is closed the day of the Bid Opening due to unforeseen circumstances, the bid(s) will be opened the next business day that the Essex County Purchasing Office is open. The Bid Submission time will remain the same.
