RFP NUMBER: PW-T62801-01CM

The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional construction management and Inspection services in connection with the following:

RE: Construction Management and Inspection Services for Quaker Meeting House Road/Bethpage Road at Round Swamp Road & Thomas Powell Boulevard Roundabout - Contract T62801-01CM

The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Construction Management Unit: Highway/Bridge Construction Group. These services shall include providing Resident Engineering, Office Engineering and Construction Inspection Services for the Quaker Meeting House Road/Bethpage Road at Round Swamp and Thomas Powell Boulevard Roundabout. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded an eighteen (18) month Agreement with the County. The County requires the project to be completed by August 22, 2025. The contractor will be permitted to work on Saturdays and Sundays. Proposals should take this into consideration when determining the proposed fee.

Proposal submissions regarding this project are due on or before Friday, April 12, 2024, no later than 3:00 pm EST at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence.

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN – In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
