ELM STREET AND WASHINGTON AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION

Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Village of Cobleskill, 378 Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill, NY 12043, until 2:00 PM local time on March 14, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for:

Elm Street and Washington Avenue Reconstruction

The project includes installation of new water distribution main, services to property lines, appurtenances, connection to existing system; new storm sewer piping and catch basins; reconstruction and resurfacing of the streets; new curbs; new sidewalks; restoration, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and other work necessary for a complete project. This project includes all demolition and removals required to complete the Work of the project as described in the Contract Documents.

The Project shall be substantially complete by October 15, 2024 and complete and ready for final payment by November 15, 2024. As a milestone, the work on Washington Street shall commence no sooner than June 24, 2024 and be fully completed not later than August 30, 2024.

Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis.

Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work.

Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.

Drawings and Specifications may be examined on and after February 12th, 2024 at C.T. MALE ASSOCIATES, 50 Century Hill Dr., Latham, NY 12110, tel. (518) 786-7400, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Documents may also be examined at Eastern Contractors Association, Inc., 6 Airline Dr., Albany, NY 12205, tel. (518) 869-0961, from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday; at McGraw-Hill (Dodge) on-line only at www.construction.com; and at Construction Market Data, online only at www.cmdgroup.com.

Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents, in electronic format, may be obtained at no charge from the Engineer, C.T. Male Associates, Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, Landscape Architecture & Geology, D.P.C. via Camelot Print and Copy Center. Prospective bidders shall contact Camelot Print and Copy Center, 630 Columbia St. Ext, Latham, NY 12110, 518.435.9696 or email: camelotbids@teamcamelot.com to obtain the bid documents. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. Costs for sets of printed documents shall be the responsibility of the Bidder. If requested, documents will be sent by UPS Ground delivery at the non-refundable cost of $10.00 per set for postage and handling.

Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents must be obtained from Camelot Print and Copy Center to be considered a Formal Bidder. Prospective Bidders will be given a copy of the bid documents by email or on-line file sharing service free of charge. Additional sets of Documents, as well as all Documents for suppliers and subcontractors, are available at non-refundable cost as listed in the Instructions to Bidders. If requested, documents will be sent UPS Ground delivery at additional non-refundable cost of $10.00 per set for shipping and handling.

Payment for additional Documents and for postage and handling should be made either in cash or by check made payable to C.T. MALE ASSOCIATES.

Bidders on this work shall pay the NYS wage rates prevailing at the time for each classification of work. New York State Department of Labor wage rate schedule: PRC #2023013698.

The VILLAGE OF COBLESKILL reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation.
