The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide full Construction Manager (CM) Agency – Services for the Renovate Mahar Hall project at the State University of New York at Oswego.

This Project is for a phased interior rehabilitation of the Campus Center on the Utica Campus of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The building was originally constructed in 1987, with subsequent renovations to the dining hall and health center. The building’s interior areas that have not yet been renovated are worn, and do not meet current needs. The swimming pool area has been decommissioned. Mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems are nearing the ends of their useful lives. Entrance doors and sidelight glazing are at the end of their useful lives.

This Project is one phase and renovates approximately 83,000 GSF of interior spaces to update classrooms, offices, and social science labs on all 4 stories plus basement, plus related exterior, MEP, and landscape work. Provide new ADA bathrooms and common spaces at interior core areas. Abatement: ACT flooring, misc. in chases and basement. Renovate & upgrade plumbing systems and add a full-building fire sprinkler system. Upgrade lighting, electrical distribution & AV/ instructional technology. New natural gas 150KW emergency generator. Replace HVAC: air condition entire building, upgrade ventilation, new DOC controls, with ground source 'geothermal' heat pump system with wells in the Academic Quad. Replace fire alarm, telecom/data systems. Add access card system to approximately 1/2 of doors. Repair or replace exterior concrete steps at north and south ends. Infill 4th floor open courtyards and replace roof.

Submissions should emphasize the firm’s significant experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner..

The current estimated construction value is approximately $50,455,000.
