NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids for General Construction – Sports Field Resurfacing at Sports Field of Gantry Plaza State Park, New York, Queens County, New York will be received by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), NYC Region at 163 West 125 ^th Street 17 ^th Floor New York, NY 10027 until 1:00 PM local time, November 2 ^nd , 2022 when they will be publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of:

The estimate range for this project is $1,275,000.00 - $1,725,000.00

A general description of the primary work elements is listed below for reference. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all the drawings and specifications to obtain a complete understanding of the entire work scope. This contract includes all work indicated on the project documents, including but not limited to:

1. Mobilization and establishment of site access and maintenance and protection of existing conditions.

2. Provide general site demolition, salvage, removals, and disposals.

3. Provide and maintain temporary tree protection measures.

4. Provide drain investigation using CCTV and minor cleaning of the existing drainage system

5. Regrade site to meet grades indicated on Grading Plan L-202

6. Supplement and prepare existing synthetic turf base.

7. Replace synthetic turf, shock pad, infill, material, and sewn striping over existing base to remain

8. Replace damaged concrete curb and nailers for synthetic turf.

9. Provide testing of new synthetic turf and correct deficiencies.

10. Replace resilient track surface and asphalt base.

11. Provide striping and markings for resilient track surface and synthetic turf field.

12. Replace missing welded wire fence panel fasteners and tighten all existing fasteners.

13. Remove and replace eight (8) doors, frames and hardware sets.

14. Replace four (4) new signs affixed to bathroom doors

15. Remove two (2) existing vines from fence, panels and plant two (2) new vines.

16. Provide all necessary permits

Add Alternate 1:

1. Repair concrete perimeter wall spalls and cracks along interior side of 47th Avenue as indicated

Add Alternate 2:

1. Remove and replace Cable Mesh Fence along dugout and backstop as indicated.

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,473,245 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2022). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.

PROJECT COMPLETION

The completion date for this project 121calender days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller’s Office.

Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Article 14.10 of the General Conditions).

BONDS
