where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time.

Scope of Work:

The work shall include removal and replacement of existing curtain wall with thermally broken curtain wall framing and insulated glass units; installation of sheet metal through-wall flashing; removal, salvage, and re-installation of adjacent existing materials such as marble cladding, interior modular partitions, and acoustical ceiling grid and tile to facilitate the curtain wall replacement.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within 365 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed.

SUNY Upstate Medical will accept business checks, credit cards or cash for this deposit (no personal checks will be accepted). Accordingly, a non-refundable deposit check in the amount of $49.50, (LESS than $50.00) made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University is required. Deposits less than $49.99 are non?refundable.

Bids must be submitted in triplicate (3), which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.

The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 22% MBE and 8% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project.

The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids
