Project Name: Kirkwood Early Childhood Center (KECC) 2024 Interior Renovations Project
Bids Close: April 18, 2024 at 2:00pm CDT
Bid Place: Bids shall be submitted to the Kirkwood School District, Facilities Department,
Attn: Tricia Horton, Special Projects Manager,
625 Angenette Avenue, Kirkwood MO 63122.
Bids will be opened and read publicly (by Owner’s Representative) at the above indicated bid
closing time.
Outline of Project:
This project requires interested, qualified Contractors to submit bids to renovate existing rooms into new
classrooms, restrooms, and offices. Components of the project include (but are not limited to) interior demolition,
carpentry, doors, flooring, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical improvements. Contractor will be required to
provide management, supervision, services, labor, equipment, materials, tools, clerical and administrative
support, necessary for a turnkey project in accordance with the requirements, specifications and
recommendations of this bid package, product manufacturers, and all code authorities.
Types of Bids:
Award of the bid will be based on lowest and best qualified bid at the owner’s discretion.
Obtaining Documents:
Bid documents will be available from the Owner beginning on April 1, 2024. Qualified bidders and sub-bidders
are encouraged to obtain documents at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pre-bid meeting. To obtain the bid
documents, download the pdf file from the Kirkwood School District website, www.kirkwoodschools.org/RFP .
Bid Security:
All bids equal to or greater than $5,000 must be accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond executed by the Bidder as
Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in Missouri as the Surety; or a company check in a
sum equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid.
Other Requirements:
Each Bidder who submits a bid shall hold any licenses as required by law. No bids will be read or considered
which do not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will
be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately.
Pre-bid Meeting:
Bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:30 pm at the Kirkwood
Early Childhood Center; 100 N. Sappington Rd.; Kirkwood, MO. Immediately following the meeting, a guided tour
and inspection of the site will be conducted.
The Owner reserves the right to conduct additional pre-bid meetings, if necessary, to fulfill the bidding
requirements of the Board of Education and State of Missouri for competitive bidding. In addition, the Owner
reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date fixed for the openings of bids, to
reject any and all Bids and waive any formalities or irregularities.
