Request for Bidding
Dated: March 6, 2024
Hoar Construction invites all vendors to submit complete bids for the above referenced project.
The package consists of direct purchasing of the Fire Pump equipment for the 540 McCallie project. The
pre­purchase equipment is to be built, tested, accepted and stored until the manufacturer/distributor is
notified to ship the equipment. The successful manufacturer/distributor shall enter into an Agreement
with Hoar Construction to provide equipment conforming to the Specifications and equipment
schedules provided.

via phone at 615-760-2463 or email at sdoak@hoar.com
Complete bids are to be emailed to Steve Doak at sdoak@hoar.com no later than 10:00 A.M., EST,
Thursday, March 28, 2024. Please do not mail bids. More information on the bid evaluation will be
discussed at the Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:30AM EST. Pre-Bid meeting
invitations will be released to all bidders in advance of the meeting. Following the bid date, there will be
a 2-week scope review and potential interview process conducted by Hoar Construction prior to making
final subcontractor/vendor selection.
No bid bonds are required.
All bidders must be licensed and qualified in the State of Tennessee.
It is the express desire of the University of Tennessee and the State Building Commission to include an
emphasis on diversity in its contractual relationships with contractors for the construction and
renovation of State projects under the jurisdiction of the Commission.
