GROUND WORK AT CAMP SHEPPARD
PROPOSED BALL FIELD
78 Camp Sheppard Lane
Gandeeville, WV 25243
Sealed bids for the following excavation and ground
preparation work will be received by the Roane
County Commission 200 Main Street Spencer, WV 25276 until 10:00 am May 11, 2023 when the Commission
will open and review all bids received.
The work is located at the future ball field site in the Grove of
Camp Sheppard and is located at 78 Camp Sheppard Lane, Gandeeville, WV 25243.
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting (optional) on Monday, May 8 at 10am at the site to view the property and answer any questions.
Please bid on the following:
The Project
generally consists of a finish grade/top dress and seeding of the entire
baseball field as staked and shown in the layout drawing. Finished field
grading shall meet dimensions for future Little League baseball field of
approximately 60,000 sf with 60 foot baselines and 200' outfield fences. Bids
shall be on a lump sum basis.

structures, underground services prior to beginning site grading. Notify
in writing of any damage to existing structures prior to the beginning of
any Work. -
"Times New Roman"">Prevent damage to fencing, trees, landscaping, natural
features, existing buildings, existing pavement, surface or underground
utility lines which are to remain, and to adjacent properties. Contractor
to make good on any damage. -
"Times New Roman"">Install silt controls prior to the commencement of
Work. -
"Times New Roman"">The Contractor is responsible for repairs to existing
structures damaged by their Work at no extra cost to the owner.

"Times New Roman"">Do not handle topsoil while in wet or frozen condition
or in any manner in which soil structure is adversely affected. -
"Times New Roman"">Commence topsoil stripping of areas after area has been
cleared of stumps, boulders and brush is removed from site. -
"Times New Roman"">Strip topsoil to depths that avoid mixing topsoil with
subsoil. -
"Times New Roman"">Stockpile topsoil in locations outside of proposed
baseball field.

"Times New Roman"">Rough grade to levels needed to construct future
baseball field as shown in the Little League baseball field diagram. -
"Times New Roman"">Slope field grade at minimum of 0.5% and maximum of 2%
for drainage unless otherwise specified. -
"Times New Roman"">Finished site shall not have ponding water prior to
replacement of stored topsoil. -
"Times New Roman"">Entire disturbed area shall be seeded and mulched once
approved by owner.

Bidders must be properly licensed,
insured (including workers compensation) and show proof of same with Bid.
The Roane
County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Contract will
be subjec

Code.
