NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is Hereby Given that sealed bids endorsed “Shafto Street, Getty Avenue and
VanWinkle Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement“will be received and publicly opened by the
Purchasing Agent of the City of Clifton, on December 14th at 11:00 a. m. prevailing time, at
which time they will be publicly opened and read in Conference Room 101, at City Hall, 900
Clifton Avenue, Clifton NJ 07013
Bids are to be delivered no later than the prevailing time indicated above, but it is strongly urged
that due to potential Covid-19 or other health related restrictions, bids be delivered ahead of the
above bid opening time. Bids shall be delivered to the Finance Office, located on the 2nd Floor
of 900 Clifton Ave, Clifton, County of Passaic, New Jersey 07013, attention of the City’s
Purchasing Agent. The City of Clifton isprohibited from publicly opening bids on Mondays or
any day directly following a State or Federal holiday, according to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4(a) and
40A:11-23 a and b.
General Description of City Wide Concrete Sidewalk Replacement:
• Excavation and in-kind replacement of approximately 240 and 470 linear feet of 10” and
12" Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP), respectively, with SDR-35 Polyvinyl Chloride Pipe (PVC)
and pavement restoration.
Obtaining Specification Documents: Bidding documents (a “Bid Package") may be obtained
via email request by prospective bidders between the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday to
Friday. Be sure to include your company name, physical address, telephone number, and email
address when submitting your request to the City’s Purchasing Agent, Amisha Jariwala, at
ajariwala@cliftonnj.org
Required bidder information can be found in the specification documents. Bidders shall comply
with the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action as specified in
N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.
