Pender County Utilities (PCU) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from consulting engineering firms experienced with water main design. The engineering firm will provide complete design, permitting, and construction administration/observation of approximately 1,000 feet of 12” water line at the US 421 corridor in western Pender County to connect with Cape Fear Public Water Authority (CFPUA). Pender County will also be extending the water line from Malpass Corner on US 421 to the Sampson County line. That is approximately 14.3 miles. That line will also need to extend down Hwy 11 to Penderlea Rd, about 3.8 miles. Only written questions will be considered and must be submitted via email to purchasing@pendercountync.gov by December 5, 2023 at 10am with “Professional Engineering Services for the US 421 Water Main Interconnection – RFQ # 24-261” as the subject line. Firms are invited to submit a SOQ to the PCU by no later than 3:00 PM on December 11, 2023. SOQ’s shall be limited to 20 pages or less, excluding cover page and tabs, in an electronic format.
