Work shall be to provide the Town of Barrington (hereafter “Town”) with completed ready-for-use facilities. Scope includes but is not limited to the following: Removal and Replacement of Existing Tennis/Pickleball Courts, Fencing/Guardrail, Walkways, and Parking Area Pavement with New Tennis/Pickleball Courts, New Fencing/Gates and Wood Guardrail, New Walkway, and New Parking Area Pavement.  Incidental to these improvements is the installation of erosion control measures, installation of Concrete Pads for Future Site Furnishing installation, new tree plantings, restoration of any disturbed lawn areas, and all work necessary to complete the project to the acceptance of the Town.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Project Site Parking Lot, on the North Side of Kent Street in Barrington, RI.  Responses to Requests for Information made by those in attendance will be posted and available through the Town of Barrington website:

Bids shall be submitted to complete the improvements in accordance with the attached Contract Documents detailing the proposed project, including these Instructions to Bidders and the Plan Set Entitled, ‘Kent Street Park Courts Renovation Project’, Sheets 1-5 of 5, Prepared for: The Town of Barrington, RI, Prepared by: Kevin M. Alverson Landscape Architecture, Dated: March 2024, as amended.

The contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of materials and equipment described in the Contract Documents as proposed by the Contractor and approved by the Town.  Application for substitution or “or-equal” items of material or equipment where specified will be considered by the Town after the effective date of the agreement with the Contractor, during the review and approval of project submittals.
