Description:

The Town of Lexington will receive Sealed Bids for the Twelve/Fourteen Mile Creek 30” Force Main - Division I (Cromer Road Pump Station to I-20 Lagoon Pump Station) project until 2 PM on April 26, 2023 in the Eli Mack Room at the Lexington Town Hall at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington, SC at which time and place all Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2 PM in the Eli Mack Room at the Lexington Town Hall, 111 Maiden Lane, Lexington, SC 29072.

Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows:

Bid Number 23-09

Installation of approximately 3730 LF of 30-inch DIP, 65 LF of 24-inch, and 30 LF of 12-inch sewer force mains via open cut, 2 air release valve, 4 - 24” and 2 – 30” plug valves, fittings, and all necessary appurtenances as specified and depicted in the Contract Documents.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by depositing $150 with the Engineer for each set of documents so obtained. The deposit is non-refundable.

No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Law and has a classification of General Contractor-Public Utilities and a subclassification of Water and Sewer Lines with the appropriate License Group Limitation for the Bid amount. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90 consecutive days after the actual date of opening.

A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the OWNER, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project as applicable. The Contractor shall ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

OWNER reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the OWNER for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
