Invitation to Bid - Wallace Avenue Sidewalks

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Wallace Avenue Sidewalks, Driggs, Key No. 23694, will be received by the City of Driggs, at 60 South Main Street, Driggs, Idaho 83422, at 1:00 p.m. local time on April 25, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of construction of new sidewalks, ADA pedestrian ramps, and associated improvements, including curb and gutter, vehicle approaches, landscaping, and street lighting on Wallace Avenue, between State Highway 33 and First Street, as identified in the Plans. Bidders are advised that the City is bidding a separate project to reconstruct the Wallace Avenue roadway (Wallace Avenue Roadway Improvements Project).

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Buy America will be required as part of this project and must follow updated requirements from 10/23/2023.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded below or obtained at City Hall for a non-refundable fee of $22.00.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m., local time, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Driggs City Hall Council Chambers, 60 S Main St.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price.

Each bidder must have a Public Works Contractors License in the State of Idaho prior to bid opening in accordance with Idaho law. All contractors and subcontractors performing work on the Project shall comply with Davis-Bacon wages applicable to the project and in effect at the time bid is due.

The City of Driggs, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all invited bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to  this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration of an award.  In addition, the City of Driggs prohibits discrimination based on ancestry, religion, creed, age, marital or familial status, physical or mental stability, sexual orientation, and gender identity/expression.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, to waive any formality in the Bidding Documents, and to make selection to the lowest responsive, responsible, and qualified Contractor as it may best serve the interest of the Owner.
