Description:

The City of Rock Island is requesting bids from contractors for short term testing and installing radon

mitigation systems. This will be a one-year contract for approximately 35 households per a year.

Estimating that 50-60 percent will require mitigating. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban

Development (HUD) funds will be used to ameliorate testing and mitigating radon with levels above 4

pCi/L. All work shall be subject to HUD 35.930 , Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and

IDPH ( Illinois Department of Public Health).
