The City of Salina, Kansas is currently accepting sealed bids for the following project, at
the office of the City Clerk, City-County Building 300 West Ash, Room 206 Salina, Kansas,
until 2:00 p.m. (Central), Thursday, November, 30, 2023, at which time the bids will be
opened publicly and read aloud.
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO. 1
PROJECT NO. 21030
Install 6-inch (12,332 Linear Feet) Water Main
Install Fire Hydrants & Valve Assemblies (21 Each)
Remove Fire Hydrants & Valve Assemblies (17 Each)
Install Tapping Sleeve, Valve and Valve Box (Various Sizes) (9 Total)
Install Resilient Gate Valves: 6-inch (31 Each)
Install Water Services: 2” (3-Long, 1-Short); 1.5” (13-Long); 1” (59-Long, 92-Short)
Remove & Replace Sanitary Sewer Main: 8-inch (420 Linear Feet)
Abandon Existing Water Line Valves (42 Each)
Remove and Replace Water Meter Pit, One Meter (79 Each)
Remove and Replace Water Meter Pit, Two Meters (6 Each)
Remove, Replace, and Relocate Water Meter Pit, One Meter (72 Each)
Remove, Replace, and Relocate Water Meter Pit, Two Meters (7 Each)
Remove Abandoned Meter Pit (11)
The drawings, specifications and other contract documents are the property of the City of
Salina, Kansas, and are available for public inspection at the office of the Director of Utilities,
City-County Building 300 West Ash, Room 205, Salina, Kansas. Please contact the Utilities
Department at 785-309-5725 with any questions in regard to the project. The documents may be
obtained from the office of the Director of Utilities upon payment of $40.00, which is non-
refundable.
The City of Salina, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive
any irregularities therein.
