|
The work for the ARMORY STORMWATER UPGRADES shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction and installation of:
- 190 LF of 15” Dia. PVC Storm Drain
- 1 Catch Basin Installation
- 20 CY Aggregate Base (MDOT 703.06 Type A)
- 100 CY Aggregate Subbase (MDOT 703.06 Type D)
- 40 Ton 12.5mm HMA
- 175 SY of Pavement Removal
Work will include the installation of 190 LF of new 15” PVC stormdrain and connection to an existing storm manhole, a new catch basin, and pavement as described on the bid plans. Pavement will be trenched throughout project at 10 foot width completed in one lift, as shown on the bid plans.

No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated.
Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work.
