The Project includes the following Work:
Replacement of approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing 6-inch and 8-inch cast iron water main on US Route 25 from Sokokis Trail (Route 5) to Bridge Street with 12-inch ductile iron water main including valves, hydrants, water services, and appurtenances. Installation of 12-inch pre-insulated ductile iron water main beneath the Little River Bridge, replacing a 12-foot span of existing 8-inch cast iron water main. The work includes the removal and disposal of existing pipe, insulation, and wooden support structure, installation of protective I-beam, erosion controls, and temporary water services (as necessary). Replacement of approximately 250 linear feet of 2-inch HDPE water main on Norton Street including valves, water services, and appurtenances. The Route 25 portion of the project is located within MDOT right-of-ways and are subject to their pavement restoration, traffic control and permitting requirements.
