The City of Fitchburg, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the “HVAC Upgrades – Memorial Middle School &Reingold Elementary”, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by BLW Engineers, 311 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460, dated March 13, 2024, for installation of new unit ventilators with VRF and hot water coils serving classrooms at Memorial Middle School and Reingold Elementary School; estimated construction cost $2,500,000.

General Contractor bids will be received until April 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at www.biddocs.com . General Contractor must be DCAMM certified in General Building Construction.

Filed sub-bids will be received until March 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at www.biddocs.com . Filed sub-bid categories for the purposes of this bid are: Flooring, Painting, HVAC, and Electrical.

A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements.

This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the scope of work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.
