the Zeeland City Clerk’s Office, 21 S. Elm St.,
Zeeland MI 49464 on or before 10:00 AM,
March 13, 2024. Bids will be opened and read
aloud at that time and location.
All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope
clearly marked Carpet and Tile Replacement Bid.
The Owner reserves the right to waive
informalities and to award bids in its own best
interest.

General Information and Instructions
1. The City of Zeeland will receive proposals from qualified contractors
for Carpet and Ceramic Tile Removal and Installation at the Roosevelt
Fire Station, 133 E. Roosevelt Ave., Zeeland, MI 49464.
2. Proposals must be mailed or delivered in person to the Zeeland City’s
Clerk Office, 21 South Elm Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. All proposals
must be sealed in envelopes, clearly marked “Capet and Tile
Replacement Bid” and must be received prior to 10:00 AM, local
time, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. This will be a public bid
opening. Evaluation of proposals and award will be at a later date; the
contractor will receive a letter of intent prior to receipt of contract.
3. The City will hold a walkthrough of the site on February 29 at 10:00
AM at the project location for interested bidders
4. The schedule of Work Shall be as follows:
February 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM
March 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM
March 18, 2024

5. Performance and Labor and Material Bonds will not be required for
the project.
6. Provide Liability Insurance and a Certificate of Insurance showing the
City of Zeeland as additional insured with a liability coverage of at
least $2,000,000. As is such, the successful bidder shall be required to

hold the City of Zeeland harmless from any liability in connection
with the required work.
7. Funding for the project is by the City of Zeeland and project does not
require the payment of prevailing wages.
8. The successful bidder shall comply with all ordinances of the City of
Zeeland in conjunction with the performance of the project.

10.The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to
waive all irregularities in proposals. Proposals remain firm for sixty

Project Specifications
Carpet and Ceramic Tile Removal and Replacement
Roosevelt Fire Station
The City of Zeeland will be replacing carpeting, ceramic floor tile, ceramic
wall tile, and associated base material per the following specifications:
1. Remove existing flooring and wall tile as specified.
2. Perform all work as necessary to make sure floors and wall are
level/smooth prior to carpet and tile installation.
3. Provide all tools, chemicals, adhesives, machinery and other material
necessary to complete the project.
4. Contractor shall provide extra stock in the amount of no less than one
case of carpet, ceramic tile, and base material.
